Ryder Cup: 

This 18 hole event is open to all senior and intermediate lady playing members. It is usually a scramble played in mid May.

First men’s tournament of the golfing season is held on a Saturday in May followed by a dinner. Format varies. The tournament convener will select the format.

This team event is routinely played on a Saturday in July. This is a team event using a gross score, match play format. Teams are comprised of between 7 and 10 players, depending on the number of entries. Points are awarded for winning or tying a match, as well as a point for each hole won. An established handicap is required to play

Field Days:

The Ladies Field Days are routinely held every Thursday morning (unless a holiday or outside tournament precludes it). Field days are played from May until the end of September. A variety of tournament formats are used for each Thursday. An established handicap is required to play.

Men's Twilight:

This is a best ball match play net team event played every Thursday evening from May through August. An established handicap is required.

Hocan Olson:

This is a two day, two person team event routinely played on a September weekend. The teams are made up of either two men or two women. The Saturday competition is a best ball format, while the Sunday competition is a two person scramble. The total of the two days determines the winners. An established handicap is required.

Women's Twilight:

The Ladies Twilight is played on Monday evenings. This is a team event played from the end of May until the end of August.

Intersectional:

This event is a Q.G.A.10 man match play team event. The 10 man team representing Cornwall plays against three other teams at the designated club for that year. There are approximately 15 divisions in the Q.G.A. with four teams in each division. Qualifying involves playing three rounds at our club on weekend days in June.

Angelina Reardon

Held each August, this mixed alternate shot tournament celebrates the memory and legacy of Angelina Reardon. Open to golfers of all skill levels, it’s a fun and friendly day on the course that brings our community together to honour her spirit and love of the game.

Ladies’ Eclectic: (Day)

This is a two day net competition, usually played using a Tuesday and a Thursday field day of the same week. An established handicap is required to play.

Senior Intersectional:

This team is comprised of 10 players. One player will be over 65 years of age, and 9 will be over 55.The format and rules are the same as the above intersectional play. An established handicap is required.

Intersectional:

This is a match play R. C.G.A. 8 lady team event. It involves playing three qualifying rounds at our club on weekend days in June. The qualifying team of 8, representing Cornwall, then plays match play against three other teams at the designated club for that year. There are 5 divisions in the R.C.G.A. with four teams in each division. An established handicap is required.

St Lawrence Team:

This is a team medal play event usually being held on a Friday and Saturday at the end of July. The team is comprised of ten men and the divisions are: 1 man over 50, 2 men over 40,1 junior under 19 years of age plus six others. There are ten teams from various courses. An established handicap is required.

Junior Program & Parent Child

The Junior Program is held most Monday mornings throughout July and August. This program is for the Child and Junior members of the Club. Lessons on both golf, and golf etiquette are offered. The Program is also open to no-members of the Club between 8 yrs and 18 yrs.

Ladies’ Invitational:

Clubs from the surrounding areas are invited to play at our Club. It is meant to be a fun day and everything is done to encourage participation. An established handicap up to 40 is required; however this may be adjusted at the discretion of the committee in place.

Border League Team:

This is a one day, team medal play event usually played on a Saturday in August. Two qualifying rounds of medal play are held prior to the event, and the best two round total scores qualify for the team. The team is comprised of ten men and the divisions are: 8 senior men, 1 man 50 or over and one junior 19 or under. There are 8 teams from various clubs in the area. An established handicap is required.

Cornwall Open:

This three day event is held on the first weekend in September and is open to everyone. This event is convened by a committee of volunteers. On Saturday the B&C Men’s division medal round play is held as well as the Ladies A,B&C divisions and the Senior divisions: Ages 55-64, 65-74, 75+. Sunday is a Mixed alternate shot event with two handicap divisions. Monday is the A division Men and Pros medal round. An established handicap is required.

Ladies Step Aside Scramble

A fun twist on the classic 4-woman scramble! All players tee off, and the team selects the best drive—but here’s the catch: the player whose drive is chosen steps aside for the next shot. This format keeps things strategic and lighthearted! Open to all women with an established handicap.

Men’s Team Classic:

This is a three man team, net event comprised of an “A” “B” & “C” player. It is routinely held on a Saturday in mid August. An established handicap is required to play and participants must have recorded at least 15 games prior to the draw.

Ladies Skins

Join us in August for a competitive and exciting round of Ladies Skins! Played from the green tees using full handicaps, this event features a random draw for groupings—adding a fun element of surprise to your team.

Best Ball:

This is a two man team event. It is a net best ball, knockout match play event and is played over the summer months. A qualifying round is held usually the week following Men’s Opening Day and only 32 teams qualify to compete. An established handicap is required to play.

Ladies Solheim Cup

A bi-annual June tradition for full playing members! Players are divided into two balanced teams based on handicaps, with pairings and team assignments arranged by the organizers. Enjoy a mix of formats including alternate shot, scramble, and best ball. It’s a spirited team event that blends strategy, camaraderie, and competition!

Wild Card Club:

Membership to this club is open to all male playing members. Throughout the season the club will hold between 6 and 8 golfing events with the formats varying. Prizes and refreshments are part of these events. The final event of the year is the Turkey Shoot held traditionally in early December. Monies raised through Wild Card functions are usually donated for the continuing enhancement of our golf course.

Ladies Doubles Match Play

Kicking off at the end of May and running throughout the summer, this event features 2-person teams playing from the green tees. All participants must have a valid Golf Canada handicap. Each team is guaranteed at least two matches, making it a great way to enjoy competitive golf all season long!

Men’s 4-Man Scramble

Tee off in June for this popular team event! Each team is made up of four players with valid Golf Canada handicaps. Team selection is handled by assigned captains, ensuring a mix of skill and camaraderie. It’s a great way to enjoy competitive golf in a relaxed, team-focused format.

Club Championship:

The Ladies’ Club Championship is played on the Labour Day weekend and is a two day medal event (Sunday & Monday) involving four divisions: Championship, A, B & C. Any player, in any division, is eligible to win the Ladies’ Club Championship if they have the lowest three day total gross score. An established handicap is required to play.

Presidents Cup:

President’s Cup – An all-season match play tournament starting in May! Matches follow current Golf Canada handicaps as of the day of play, and players are free to compete from the tees they regularly use. It’s a flexible, competitive format that runs throughout the season—perfect for those who enjoy head-to-head play at their own pace.

Club Championship:

The Men’s Club Championship is a 3 day medal event involving 4 divisions: Open, A, B &C. This event is played the Labour Day weekend. An established handicap is required. Juniors require a handicap of 6 or less to play in the Open Division.

Senior Club Championship

This is a three day event typically held in July and consisting of three divisions: 55-64, 65-74, 75+ years.

Member/Guest

Playing members create their own foursome by inviting guests to play an eighteen hole round followed by dinner.
